Branch of Chemistry

Quantum chemistry - Quantum chemistry is a branch of theoretical chemistry, which applies quantum mechanics (and more recently quantum field theory) to problems in chemistry. The description of the electronic behavior of atoms and molecules as pertaining to their reactivity is one of the applications of quantum chemistry.

Atmospheric chemistry - Atmospheric chemistry is a branch of atmospheric science in which the chemistry of the Earth's atmosphere and that of other planets is studied. It is a multidisciplinary field of research and draws on environmental chemistry, physics, meteorology, computer modeling, oceanography, geology and volcanology and other disciplines.

Computational chemistry - Computational chemistry is a branch of theoretical chemistry whose major goals are to create efficient mathematical approximations and computer programs that calculate the properties of molecules (such as total energy, dipole and quadrupole moment, vibrational frequencies, reactivity and other diverse spectroscopic quantitities and cross sections for collision of molecules with diverse atomic or subatomic projectiles) and to apply these programs to concrete chemical objects. The term is also sometimes used to cover the areas of overlap between computer science and chemistry.

Inorganic chemistry - Inorganic chemistry is the branch of chemistry concerned with the properties and reactions of inorganic compounds. This includes all chemical compounds except the many which are based upon chains or rings of carbon atoms, which are termed organic compounds and are studied under the separate heading of organic chemistry.

Fundamentals of Electronalytical Chemistry by Paul M. S. Monk,
This thoroughy updated open-learning book provides an introduction to electroanalytical chemistry, one of today's fastest growing branch of chemistry and most exciting branches of analytical science. This text discusses electroanalysis in a non-mathematical branch of chemistry and informal tutorial style. In addition to over 250 discussion branch of chemistry and self-assessment questions, 50 worked examples are also included throughout the book, thus providing a wide range of excellent material for testing the reader's understanding of the subject matter. The topics covered include the following: Simple emf measurements with cells Equilibrium branch of chemistry and dynamic measurements Polarography Cyclic voltammetry Rotated disc, ring-disc branch of chemistry and wall-jet electrodes "In situ" spectroelectrochemistry measurements Impedance analysis Preparation of electrodes Data processing The book also contains a comprehensive bibliography branch of chemistry and details of web-based resources. "Electroanalytical Chemistry" assumes no prior knowledge of this powerful branch of analytical science branch of chemistry and will be an invaluable aid for anyone wanting to perform analytical measurements using electrochemical techniques. The book's approach is ideal for students studying at Foundation, BTEC (HNC branch of chemistry and HND), branch of chemistry and for those pursuing BSc branch of chemistry and MChem courses in analytical branch of chemistry and physical chemistry, as well as subsidiary courses in life, environmental branch of chemistry and materials science. Analytical Techniques in the Sciences This series of books provides coverage of all the major analytical techniques branch of chemistry and their application in the most important areas of physical, life branch of chemistry and materials sciences. Each text is presented in an open-learning/distance-learning style, in which the learning objectives are clearlyidentified. The reader's understanding of the materials is constantly evaluated by the use of self-assessment branch of chemistry and discussion questions.
